To our clients, thank you for being valued members of the Stoney Creek family. We hope this blog will be informative and entertaining as a supplement to your already exceptional pet care.
If you are not a current client and have found us through the world wide web, WELCOME! Allow us to introduce ourselves:
Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital was founded in 2001 by Dr. Glenn Huth. Dr. Huth graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Florida and moved to North Carolina with his wife, Brenda, to begin his veterinary career, working for several practices, including a 24 hour Emergency Clinic.
In 2001, Dr. Huth decided to open his very own veterinary hospital in Guilford County. After 4 years of success and loyal clients, it was time for an expansion. Plans for the new location began, ground was broken, and later in 2005, Stoney Creek Vet Hospital moved into its current location at 6460 Burlington Road in Whitsett, North Carolina.
But that wasn’t enough for the Huth’s. They dreamed of expanding on rehabilitation and physical therapy, as well as providing more inclusive boarding and daycare services for their amazing clients. And thus, the Stoney Creek Pet Lodge and Rehab Center was born in 2016. Right up the hill from the veterinary hospital at 6464 Burlington Road, stands the gigantic, lodge-style building equipped with an underwater treadmill, physical therapy equipment, laser and acupuncture treatment, luxury suites for both dogs and cats, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a zero entry swimming pool. While Dr. Huth continues his work as a veterinarian, his wife Brenda, CCRT, can be found conducting the rehab and physical therapy appointments.

Dr. Huth, Brenda, and their two children, Ryan (19) and Shannon (18) live on their farm in Greensboro with their dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, honeybees, and beautiful vegetable garden. Besides keeping them busy, their familiarity with all kinds of animals, ranging from domestic pets to exotics to wildlife, as well as their knowledge of founding and managing several small businesses, has given them varied experience and a unique voice.
It is our hope that this blog will share Dr. Huth and Brenda’s perspectives on medicine, welfare, and our world in relation to our animals with our clients and the rest of the internet. Thank you for reading!
