PET SURGERY

PET SURGERY

Most pet's will need some form of surgery in their lifetime. Whether that surgery is routine, such as a spay or neuter, or a more advanced surgery, Stoney Creek has your pet covered.

We use modern monitoring equipment to be sure your pet is safe during their procedure, especially for older or more high-risk patients. We also use advanced laser surgery, which makes the site of your pet's surgery smaller than traditional surgery and cuts the time your pet needs to recover down.

Questions about your pet's surgical needs? We're happy to answer any questions.

Your Pet is in Capable Hands with Us!

As a pet parent, we know you care deeply for your pet and may have concerns about any surgical procedure. Beyond our full-service surgical capabilities, our veterinarians are supported by a caring and compassionate support team. Your pet is in the best of hands, and together, we can make sure your pet's surgery and recovery are as smooth as possible.

Below are just some of the ways that Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital ensures your pet is protected:

  • We recommend your pet pre-surgery laboratory testing done so that we can be as informed as possible about your pet's health and make necessary adjustments.
  • Our anesthesia protocol is up-to-date for your pet's safety. We use high-quality monitoring equipment to check your pet's vital signs both visually by our team, as well as electronically for accuracy.
  • Your pet is kept warm during their procedure so that we can mitigate any potential hypothermia issues.
  • Your pet's comfort is of utmost importance. Pain control is used both during and after your pet's procedure so your pet is comfortable and you can rest assured that they are taken care of.

How to Schedule Surgery for Your Pet

Since surgeries are more complex, we need to be sure that we take the appropriate amount of time to evaluate your pet as well as answer any questions that you may have. Because of this, all elective surgeries must be scheduled.

Simply give us a call to schedule a consultation for your pet, and then we can work with you to find a mutual time when your pet's procedure can be done. This consultation will also let us know if your pet needs any additional blood or laboratory work performed to be sure that their procedure is as safe as possible.
