Dr. Eldred | Medical Director
Dr. Eldred is a dedicated veterinarian who graduated from Michigan State University, where a passion for animal care blossomed into a fulfilling career. She is certified in rehabilitation therapy and veterinary acupuncture and is passionate about helping pets with pain, mobility, and neurological issues. Alongside her husband, Ian, and their adventurous son, Everett, she enjoys a vibrant family life filled with love and laughter. At home, they share their lives with Hudson, a playful chocolate lab that brings joy and energy to their days.
When she’s not caring for your pets, Dr. Eldred loves to immerse herself in gardening, cultivating plants and a serene outdoor space. She’s also an avid reader, finding inspiration in stories across genres. She enjoys hiking the trails with her family and exploring the beauty of the great outdoors. Additionally, Dr. Eldred practices aerial silks, embracing the thrill of movement and artistry high above the ground. With a perfect blend of family, profession, and passions, she thrives on enriching the lives of those around her.
Dr. Ya
Dr. Janice Ya is a compassionate veterinarian and proud North Carolina native. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Meredith College in 2013. Her career in animal care began in private practice, where she worked as an animal assistant for five years before transitioning into human resources. Driven by a lifelong passion for veterinary medicine, Dr. Ya went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, graduating cum laude from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.
Prior to joining Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Ya practiced at Banfield Pet Hospital for over two and a half years. During that time, she cared for a diverse range of pets and established strong relationships with their owners. She takes particular pride in client education and preventative care, aiming to ensure pets live healthy, happy lives. Dr. Ya also holds a special interest in zoo and exotic animal medicine, a field she continues to explore in her free time.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ya enjoys spending time with her husband and child. Her family is actively involved in their church community and loves traveling and trying new foods together. They share their home with a beloved Rottweiler mix named Autumn.
Dr. Jarrell
Dr. Leslie Jarrell is a friendly and compassionate veterinarian who enjoys talking with people about their pets! She attended the University of California Davis for veterinary school ('97). She then worked in exotics/wildlife and small animal practice. She completed a veterinary residency at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and passed the specialty Laboratory Animal Medicine veterinary boards in 2012.
Dr. Jarrell worked as a wildlife veterinarian in Durham, NC, for a few years, then continued her laboratory animal medicine career in Research Triangle Park, NC. She earned her Certified Aquatic Veterinarian certification in 2020 and has consulted on the Veterinary Information Network since 2013, helping other veterinarians with small and exotic mammal cases.
She loves to take care of exotic pets as well as dogs and cats, and strives to provide preventative and cooperative care for pets. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Jarrell enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband, children, and pets. Her pets include Dusty (golden retriever), Millie and Spock (rats), and Epic and Mr. Swirly (land hermit crabs). For hobbies, you can find her gardening and hiking.
Dr. Zamborsky
Dr. Kaitlin Zamborsky, or as she is known in the clinic, Dr. Z, is a committed and compassionate veterinarian who always enjoys learning new things! She graduated from Stony Brook University in the state of New York, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with Honors in 2012. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida in 2018.
Prior to officially joining the Stoney Creek team, Dr. Z worked in small animal practice at Banfield Pet Hospital and as a relief veterinarian at various clinics through the IndeVets company. At each clinic she practiced, Dr. Z brought her strong commitment to client education, compassion for pets, and a bright sense of humor.
During her stint as a relief veterinarian, Dr. Z discovered Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital (you may have even seen her in the past year helping out!). She ended up loving the clinic so much that she decided to join full time.
When she is not treating Stoney Creek’s dogs and cats, Dr. Z loves finding new recipes to try cooking, playing video games, reading new stories, and corralling her mischievous cat, Hazel. She also enjoys spoiling her parent’s cat, Sherlock, with scratches and treats.

Christine - Practice Manager
Christine is a Navy veteran who began her veterinary career in 1997, starting as a veterinary assistant in both general and specialty practices. While working at a neurology specialty clinic, she earned her certification as a licensed veterinary technician. Driven to grow and develop, Christine later returned to school, earning an associate's degree in health systems management.
With over 14 years of experience in various management roles, she thrives on the challenges of managing in the veterinary field. Christine is married, a proud mom and stepmom to six children, and “Oma” to two amazing grandchildren. She and her husband also share a busy home with three dogs (two Vizslas and a Shih Tzu) and three cats.
Kendall - Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Kendall is a registered veterinary technician who graduated from Central Carolina Community College in 2024. She enjoys assisting in surgical procedures and is committed to compassionate patient care.
Outside of work, Kendall shares her home with Alice, her cat, and Gerry Mulligan, her dog. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, crafting, and gardening with her husband Ben.
Tammy - Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Tammy has had a lifelong love for animals and grew up dreaming of becoming a veterinarian. Although her career initially took her in a different direction, she ultimately found her way into veterinary medicine as a licensed veterinary technician, earning her license in 2019 after retiring from her previous profession.
Originally from New York, Tammy moved to North Carolina in early 2023. At home, she shares life with two dogs and six cats—keeping things lively and full of love, just the way she likes it.
