RETIRED NOVEMBER 2024

Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Dr. Huth completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Albany and then relocated to Florida, where he graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at University of Florida with honors. Since receiving his DVM in 1996, Dr. Huth has lived in Greensboro, North Carolina, and practiced locally in the area. His first position was with a multi-doctor practice in northwest Greensboro until January 2000. After that, Dr. Huth devoted his professional career to advancing his skills in emergency medicine and surgery, practicing for one of the Triad's largest emergency clinics. His desire to return to long-term care and life-long relationships with his patients and their owners brought him back into private practice.

I Love My Job
Enjoying his work with animals of all shapes and sizes, his experience has included everything from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, ferrets, pocket pets, and reptiles. During his years of practice, Dr. Huth has provided full medical and surgical care for all types of household pets, as well as exotic consultation by veterinary referral. These referrals have expanded as far as Virginia and the North Carolina coast.

Great Years and More To Come
While in Florida, Dr. Huth met his wife, Brenda, and they have been married since 1992. They established their home in southeast Greensboro in May 1996, where they raised their two children, Ryan and Shannon. Dr. Huth enjoys outdoor activities with his family, including horseback riding, hiking and gardening.

Dr. Samoska

Dr. Sven Samoska hails from Bethlehem, Connecticut, where he spent his formative years. His academic journey led him to Clemson University in South Carolina, a place that ignited his affection for the Carolinas. Following this, he pursued his veterinary studies at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, culminating in his clinical year at the University of Missouri, and earning his degree in 2008.

His professional path took him to Phoenix, Arizona, where he embarked on a career at Banfield Pet Hospital. In a remarkable trajectory, he rose to become the Chief of Staff of one of the busiest hospitals in Arizona. During this time, he found love, married, and welcomed three children into his life. Circumstances prompted a move to North Carolina due to his daughter's severe asthma. There, he dedicated nearly a decade of overnight emergency medicine. Driven by a yearning for the personal connections forged with clients and their beloved pets, he embraced a new chapter at our Stoney Creek Veterinary Hospital family. As a veterinarian, his passion lies in the intricate problem-solving of medical and surgical cases.

When not at work, Dr. Samoska finds solace in gardening, home improvement projects, and quality time with his children. His own household is an amusing menagerie, including a yellow Labrador, a pit bull, six cats, and a flock of sixty chickens.

Brittany Pinto

Brittany - Online Pharmacy Technician

Brittany oversees the online pharmacy program for our veterinary practice, ensuring clients receive savings, convenience, and peace of mind when purchasing medications and products for their pet's optimal health and well-being.

Brittany was born to a Puerto Rican and Salvadorian family and raised in Miami, Florida. In 2020, Brittany graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and a minor in Chemistry while on the pre-veterinary track.

Brittany has worked in a shelter clinic, two general practices, and a 24-hour emergency and trauma center for animals. Being in the field for six years, she worked as a kennel assistant, then a technician, a customer service representative, and a patient care coordinator on our team. These roles have molded her into the person she is today: a skilled communicator that connects clients and patients to the best veterinary care.

Even outside of work, Brittany still finds time to volunteer at shelter centers and offer extra hands or donations. A nature lover at heart, she loves hiking, biking, and kayaking and finding hidden spots to relax with her husky, Bleu.
